Training - PC per participant with Jasperreports Server Community Edition and Jaspersoft Studio installation, Jasperreports Server installation with Tomcat application server, Postgres DBMS and sample databases (Jaspersoft BI-Suite version 5.x and newer).
The maximum group size is limited to 12 participants in all courses. For larger groups there are additional costs for a co-trainer.

Seminar goal

In this three-day seminar you will learn how to create attractive report templates with Jaspersoft iReport. You will be able to prepare data statistically and implement diagrams for trend analyses.

You will also learn to connect data sources to your templates and see how reports are dynamically populated with information when scheduled to run on the JasperReports Server.

Thanks to the modular structure of the reports in the exercises, you will learn the methodology of compiling reports from reusable components and making them appear uniform in the corporate design. You will learn a variety of tips and tricks as well as best practices that will help you avoid pitfalls and weaknesses of Jaspersoft iReport.

Seminar content / Agenda

The seminar agenda includes an introduction to the Jaspersoft BI suite, the iReport user interface, the reporting cycle and structure, data sources, report elements and report delivery.

In addition, topics such as fields, parameters and variables, charts, subdatasets, subreports, crosstabs, expressions, variables and calculations, parameters and controls, style elements and fonts, internationalization, templates and scriptlets are covered.

Other topics such as Google Maps, HTML5 diagrams (Professional), table elements and can also be covered on request. It is possible to set priorities and implement specific examples with reference to customer projects. The seminar contains a high proportion of practical exercises in order to achieve an optimum learning effect.

Remark / Note:

The training is offered for reasons of downward compatibility. The official Jaspersoft Studio tool has been available since 2014. However, some third-party software still contains older versions of JasperReports and is delivered with iReport.
